Bill Milner

William Milus Milner, better known as "Mr. Bill" or Uncle Smack, was born December 1, 1931 to the late Fowler and Velma Milner of Waverly, Alabama. William departed this life on September 5th, 2019 at North Mississippi Medical Center.

He was the youngest son of ten children, but was the last to depart his earthly journey. He was known for his determination, kindness, and bright smile.

William professed his belief in Jesus Christ at an early age. He was true to his faith and lived by that faith daily. To attest to his Christian ethics, he served on the Deacon Board at St. Matthews Missionary Baptist Church in Fulton, MS. He also served as a lead musician in the music ministry of the church and member of the Male Chorus.

William M. Milner was also a member of the Masonic Grand Lodge of Mississippi- Prince Hall affiliated as well as the Worshipful Master of his local lodge. He served on the local bank board and provided his community with a co-owned cleaning service with his wife.

Mr. Bill was admired by the whole community and will be remembered for his heart-warming smile.

He leaves to cherish his memory, a loving and devoted wife of 52 years, Mattie B. Milner; one son, Kenneth Wayne Milner; one grand-daughter, Dakota (Tashaya) Holland; three Godsons, Kennedy Greer, Darrell (Tina) Loyd, and Will (Chasity) Loague; a very best friend/brother for over 30 years, Bobby (Kathy) Pierce; a devoted nephew and niece Rodney (Shirley) Taylor. He was also loved by a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.

Services will Friday, September 13, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Matthews Missionary Baptist Church in Fulton, MS with Pastor Charles Berry officiating.

Senter Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
